It ain’t always wine and roses on Valentine’s Day. Sometimes it’s saying “goodbye” to someone to allow yourself to heal…and what better way to say “goodbye” to your ex than by naming a cockroach after them and then feeding it to a wild animal.
That’s what the San Antonio Zoo’s doing. Got an ex who makes you wanna tear your hair out? Just buy a roach from the zoo for $5, and they’ll feed it to a bird or reptile as part of their Valentine’s Day “Cry Me A Cockroach” livestream feeding event.
Even vegetarians left heartbroken can get in the action. For $5 they can buy some leafy greens that will be fed to one of the zoo’s vegetarian animals. You’ll receive a certificate from the event to share on social media. You have until February 13th at 6 pm to register at sazoo.org/valentine.
