The Holly Hill Police Department is investigating an attempted homicide that occurred at the 7-Eleven gas station and convenience store last week. According to the HHPD, the incident occurred on Friday, December 26th. Per the latest information from police, the incident reportedly occurred on December 26th at around 5:30 am. It transpired at the 7-Eleven location at 1601 Ridgewood Ave. A suspect, 29-year-old Andrew Drake, was arrested at the scene and remains in custody as of Friday. One victim, identified as William McCauley, sustained significant injuries in the stabbing. He was said to be in ‘critical condition’ as of last Friday. Drake was charged with attempted second degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Police on Wednesday announced that they were asking for the public’s help with the investigation. Witnesses are being sought out, and anyone who may have been present near the incident is asked to contact the Holly Hill Police Department.
