Bronx House Pizza is preparing to open a new location in Daytona Beach, according to multiple reports. The location will be at 1307 Cornerstone Blvd, Suite A where Dominic’s Deli did business until October. The popular local pizza chain already has twelve locations open in northeast and central Florida, including several in Volusia County. When this new restaurant opens in February, it’ll be their first time venturing into Daytona Beach. Ormond Beach was host to the first Bronx House Pizza location, getting the brand started in Volusia County back in 2014. They’ve since opened up additional pizzerias distributed across Jacksonville, Lake Mary, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra Beach, Port Orange, St. Augustine, and St. Johns. The addition of a Bronx House Pizza to the Tomoka Town Center shopping area is the latest in a string of major new business openings the area has seen in recent years. Just recently Volusia’s first Trader Joe’s location opened just a short walk away, as did the PopStroke mini golf bar. Bronx House will be competing with Blaze Pizza, who operate adjacent to Duck Donuts on the northern end of Tomoka Town Center. Beyond that, the apparent lack of Italian food was reportedly a major factor in the decision to introduce Bronx House Pizza. Owner Bruno DiFabio originally hails from New York, where he studied food and beverage management at Cornell University. He touts himself as a six-time world pizza champion, with appearances on the Today Show, Access Hollywood, Good Morning America, Fox & Friends, and as a guest judge on Food Network’s Chopped.
