• Election day is tomorrow. Your notifications and messages will probably be thankful it’s over.
• This election cycle has generated more texts to voters than ever before.
• According to ABC News, The Trump campaign will send out a total of a billion texts by Tuesday. The Biden campaign has texted hundreds of millions.
• That’s not to mention special interest texts and messages from local candidates and propositions.
• Jessica Alter, who is the CEO of Tech for Campaigns, said, “We’ve definitely seen this year that more people, more campaigns are using (texts) and that is having an impact. I think people are getting a little bit frustrated.”
• By the way, the texts are mostly coming from real people. Since they are coming from a campaign and not a commercial entity, that is why they are exempt from the No-Call List.
