DeLand, FL – An Orange City man who was facing over 30 charges of child pornography possession learns he will spend the next 10 years in a state prison. 54-year-old Gregory Greer was arrested in December 2019 after detectives uncovered 1,138 sexually explicit electronic videos and images portraying boys between the ages of 2 to 15; some images showed some being sexually abused by adult males. The investigation eventually yielded a total of 35 counts of child pornography possession against Greer. According to court records obtained by News Daytona Beach, Greer was found guilty on Monday (Nov. 1) of 31 counts, while the four remaining possession counts were not prosecuted (nolle prosequi). He was sentenced to 10 years in state prison the same day. Court records further show that Greer’s defense has already begun an appeals process, with a notice of appeal filed the same day Greer was convicted and sentenced.
