After 37 years with a Super Bowl commercial, Budweiser is bailing this year. In the midst of the pandemic, Budweiser is shifting the money it would have spent on their big game ad “to critical Covid-19 vaccine awareness.” Budweiser thought this was a wiser move for them this year, with bars and restaurants shut down throughout the country.
Coca Cola and Pepsi have also announced that they will not have any commercials during the Super Bowl. Some companies are concerned that the pandemic will lead to lower ratings during the game.
